It's been 2 years!

A lot of things had happen since my last post. A LOT! So many things going on, until I was totally forgot about my tiny little world here...(urm, maybe plus a bit of laziness! haha!!) . It's quite funny and I think it's a bit ridiculous when I read all my old posts back... Now, I'm more matured, and I will write accordingly (am I??) well, as you can see, my previous entries was about my life during my final year in high school. Now, I AM A PROUD FIRST YEAR MEDICAL STUDENT! I cannot believe this, THIS IS actually coming true...wow! time flies sooooo fast... starting from tomorrow, I will try to write all that actually happened for the past 2 years...of course I'm not going to actually write it all, but just the unforgettable, importants ones... and I'm also be writing my journey here as a medical student...It's kinda my little journal which one day when I look back I can remember my struggle years to become a doctor!

Salam sayang!

Lubna's Birthday Party

Birthday Girl
First: Birthday at school

Lubna is one of my best friend in the school and she's in Year 10. She comes from Malawi. Officially, she turned 15th last Tuesday, the 23rd of January. That morning, during break time in school, we ( Henna, Luciana, Asena, Anna, Sweta, and Me! ) held a small surprised birthday party for her on the roof~ Henna got her this delicious chocolate cake that her mom made. Besides that, all of us also bought her a necklace, a pair of earrings, and a key chain with her name on it. She was shocked! Thank goodness she likes the things! I was really afraid that she might not like it as I was the one who bought it. She then gave each one of us a hugged. She expressed her gratitude to everyone. She cut the cake and made her wish. We then enjoyed our self the rest of the break.
Second: Birthday at TGI Friday's
Last night, I went to Lubna's Birthday Party at TGI Friday's. I went together with Luciana, Sweta and Henna as they didn't have any rides to go with. Besides, they houses just near to my house, so I don't see why not! We actually arrived at the party an hour and 20 minutes late as we stucked in SANDWICH! We supposed to be arriving at the venue at 6 p.m. However, as I got my piono lesson right after school, and I arrived home quite late ( 5.45 p.m, because my driver had to pick my father first ) I called Lubna at 5.30 p.m to tell her that I'll probably be arriving around 6.15 p.m to 6.30 p.m, as I had to have sometime to change and pray first. Unfortunately, I left my house AT 6.20 p.m and I had to wait for Sweta first at Luciana's house. Then, we had to pick Henna on the way. We stucked at least in three traffics. Needless to say, it was Thursday night and many people were going out ( not to mention people were going home from work too! ) to have fun and dinner~ Sigh, no point of blaming them though. I had headache in the car as I was really hungry at the time.

Anyway, we still arrived safely there. When I got to the tables ( where everyone else were sitting and eating appetizers ) they just about to get ready to order the food. I took my place beside Henna. Then, came Lubna's little sister, Raheela and Henna and I chatted with her. A few minutes later, the food came. For me, I had Mushroom cheese burger and Chocolate Milk Shake. Emmm... Nyam..Nyam! After we had finish our food, we ( Oh, but not me!!! ) especially Omneya, Lora, Ezz, Montaz and those guys were dancing. Guess what? Not on the floor but on the chairs!!! Most of the people who were eating there, just gave a stared at them. You know what? Ziyaad came to us and said that Lubna's mother told him that she can teach them how to dance. Hahaha, she just insulting ( not really, it was just a joke ) those guys! They just danced for about 15 minutes because Lubna's cake came. The TGI Friday's crew sang this song ( I didn't really know what song it was, but I'm pretty sure its something to do with birthday... ) while one of them had the delicious-looking cake on his hand. He then put the cake on table, and we sang Happy Birthday to Lubna ( Not to forget, in arabic too !!! Sanah Helwa ya ghani..... ). She cut the cake and made her wish ( again! ). The waiter then helped her to distribute the cake to everyone of us. Later on, we were just eating and talking.
We were eating our food
Through all the time of the party, we just kept snapping pictures ( Me too~ I love to take pictures and sometime in my hand phone there was up to 3,000 pictures! ). By the way, on the same night, there were four birthday party at the same place. Two upstairs and two downstairs. TGI was crazy! There was so many people and the music was very loud! On top of that, we were sitting beside the speaker! My ears were really hurt! I wonder how on earth those guys could survive with that such loud noise~ ). We said goodbye to each other and headed back home. To be honest, I was really enjoying myself last night. Last but not least, Happy Birthday again to Lubna. May Allah cherish up her life with Barakah and Rahmah.
Here is some pictures of us at the party ( Sorry, the pictures are not that clear because they kept moving )

PE is fun!

This morning, we have our PE lesson as usual. For this week onwards ( only until the end of this half term which is on 18th of February ), all of us will be doing athletics. For your information, we were doing football last week ( last term ).

I would never imagine that I will be saying this, "PE IS FUN!" I know, that is weird to hear someone like me would be saying like that. I mean its not that I hated PE before, its just my knees always ended up really hurt~ It is because I have some joint problems on my left knee.

So as for today, we went to the sporting club, ( as usual, our school don't have big fields for sports activities, we only have a hard court and a small gym, so for every PE lesson we will be going there ) of course by bus. As soon as we arrived there, we all gathered at the track. Then, Mr Shuttleworth talked to us about what we will be doing for this PE and the plan about doing dancing instead of swimming for girls and etc. Later on, he directed the boys to go to the other side of the track and wait for him, and as for girls, we all stayed where we were. Next, Mr Yeates divided us, the girls to two group. Since I was in group one, so my group started the lesson by doing long jump. LONG JUMP??? Its my favourite! I love long jump~ And that is one of the reason I find PE today was so fun. Besides, its the only thing in sports that I good at ( Oh, I almost forgot~ I like 100 metres sprint too! ).

After we spend approximately 20 minutes in long jump, Mr Yeates hand over my group to Mr Islam where he was waiting for our next event. While we were doing long jump, the other group were doing shot put. And now, as we both groups were swapping over the events, now is my group's turned to do shot put and as for the other girls' group they'll be doing long jump.

After that, we went to Mr Shuttleworth where he was waiting for us at the end of the track where the boys did their fitness activities there. There, both of the girls' groups reunited. We then been asked by him to pick and choose a partner. He then gave a simple brief about what we were about to do next. Sigh, there was a lot of activities to be done!

We did jumping, running, throwing and so much more. All of us the girls had so much fun! All the activities need to be done in only 30 seconds and there was 6 activities. I know it was not that bad, but as what Mr Shuttleworth told us before that the aim of these activities are to put all the energy and concentration you have as much as you can. So, for example, we have to run 2o metres track and go back again by jogging, and try to do this several times in just 30 seconds.
Whoah! I must say, after I finished all the courses, I was pretty exhausted~

We headed back to school after that. We changed our clothes and went for break. We continued our lessons as usual. That was pretty much all the things that happened today.

Story of my life>>>

Today, my father went to Cairo to attend a meeting and do some works over there. Since my mom is now in Malaysia, and there is no adult apart from my father himself, he came back from Cairo the same day ( he just came back about 2 hours ago ). Papa cooked Chicken curry last night for our lunch today as Uncle Hisham cannot take the food from Ustazah Aini because he had to send my father. He put the curry on the stove so that after I had came back from school, I can just lit on the fire and heat it up.

After we had our delicious lunch, Rifqa switched on the computer and realised that my mom was online. We YMed with her. I saw her via the web cam that she was on the bed and ready to go to sleep. It was nearly 11 p.m in Malaysia that time. She told me that she is now in a diet and has lost 5 kilos already. Wow! My mom is pretty amazing~ She is now 66 kilos and determined to loss until at least 60 kilos. She then said that she try to achieve that target by the time she will be flying back to Egypt to visit us here. I bet that my mom will be look so gorgeous and not to mention THIN!

I then told her that papa went to Cairo and will be back in 3 hours ( that time ). She answered me back by saying that she knew it already this morning when she was SMSed with my papa. She then said, "That's why I YM with you guys. Just to make sure there is adult presence although only through YM,". Later on, I said good night to her. She has to go to work tomorrow and it was late for her already.

After that, I performed my pray and straight away do my homework. I got Biology and English Language homework. However, I only did Biology as it took me almost 2 hours to finish it. And as for English, I will do it tomorrow during my one hour of study period ( thank goodness I have study period ).

Its over!

Well, my exams was finally, officially finished. The one week of pure agony its now over! I had my Arabic continuous writing for the last paper. Woohoo! Its finished... Its finished... Owwoooooo... Hold on young lady~ The results will be coming out soon. Uwww, the results... Owh, I feel scared. I scared that I will get bad marks. I can feel that I will get mostly C's for my results. Huh~ We'll see tomorrow.

Anyway, as I don't have anything to do tonight, I want to do some rearrangment in my bedroom. Right now, my room is erm... o.k... but its not organised. On top of that, since I had my exams, my books are stacking all over the place! Owh, you don't want to see that. I don't have time to put them back properly as I was too busy studying (because I didn't study during the christmas holiday which I supposed to! )

I planned to put my book shelfs near to me so I can reach the books easily while I'm studying ( all of this because I planned to be a VERY systematic students >>> my NEW special programme towards my IGCSE exams <<< Whoa... sounds very ambitious eh? )

Well, I'll better get moving now. I want it to be finished by 10 o'clock though, because I have to get up by 6 the next morning.

Higher education

Earlier today, after having a wonderful mee hoon goreng by Chef Papa, I took an old Malaysian newspaper ( last year newspaper ) on the table. I decided to read it through. I felt too lazy to start my math revision while my stomach still very full! Oh my dear... My tummy looks like a balloon after I had two plates of mee hoon just now. I was really hungry. Huh? Who cares? Hee...Hee...Hee...

Anyway, the newspaper was actually not the main news, its only the special /addition section which you always get when you buy Star ( one of Malaysian English newspaper). So, this section is called StarSpecial as the main title. For this edition ( Wednesday, 16 January 2008), the main topic is about education. I assumed the topic was chosen because it was the beginning of the year, so, its mainly the starting of the Malaysian academic year.

As I continued my reading, I found out that there are so many private universities and colleges now in Malaysia. All of them advertised their schools as there were intakes for February. Huh! Not bad~ Our higher education now is moving forward to the same level as the international and other well-known universities in the world! For example, LimKokwing, Taylor's, and SEGi, just to name a few. I read all the advertisements. Most of them have collaboration with international universities around the world mainly UK and Australia. They offered overseas degree and educations locally. They have this special programme called 3+0. So, Malaysian students now can have the privileged to obtain the best educations in the world for just half the price paid by other overseas students (if they go privately). In addition, the students can also get two degrees at the same time! One from the foreign universities and one from the local universities. Most of the school bodies said that all of the students graduated from their universities / colleges are perfectly prepared for the world of employment. Cool!

In conclusion, I obtained a lot of informations about the higher educations just from reading the newspaper. Thank you so much Star as you provided me with a lot of choices of universities / colleges to choose from. Now, I have a lot of thinking to do. Sigh~

Hmm... I've never thought that one day I have to think of which universities should I choose. And that day came too fast. If before, I always look at my cousins who were preparing themselves to college. This year I will turn 17 and I'm now in my last year of secondary school. Next year, I will turn 18 and I will be in college already ( Or, it can be sooner than that ~ THIS JULY! ) I still remember clearly, in 2005, when I first turned 13, I asked something to my next-bed roommate. She was in Form 5 that year. I called her Kak Azwa ( the Form 5 student which I most closed to ). I asked her whether 5 years in asrama ( hostel ) was too long for her or not. She answered me by saying, " Huh, tak langsung! Kejap jer. Pejam celik, pejam celik, dah Form 5 dah. Hah, macam K.Azwa ni, nak SPM dah tahun ni, " I then took her words and had a thinking about it for awhile. Actually, that time was my very first week staying in hostel. So, I still kinda had the culture shock. But then, I learnt how to cope up with the new environment comfortably. I made many good friends in just two weeks ( I missed them so much! ) Anyway, K. Azwa was right! Its not long after all! Time flies when you just about to enjoy it~ I still couldn't believed that I'm now in my last year of high school. Huh~ The world is getting bigger for me. Meaning that I will be facing a more challenging obstacles in future. Oh, Ya Allah! Give me the strenght...

By the way, after reading the newspaper, Imran called my mummy. I talked with her for awhile. She advised me to focus in my study as I will be sitting for my IGCSE ( equivalent to SPM )this May. She also asked me to perform Solat Istikharah so in hoping I will be getting some sense ( petunjuk dari Allah ) of which path should I choose the best. It is ironic as I was reading about the higher educations before, i.e universities and colleges, but then my mom told me to start thinking about it. Huh, my mom has the Sixth sense!

I didn't continue my conversation with my mom because she has fever right now. As I been told, Shakira and Kak Fazat also sick, only Mak Cik Sunti is o.k~ Poor them... I hope they will get better soon. And Shakira can continue her schooling as usual.
